Welcome!

About Us:

  • Dr. Donald Curtis began the practice in 1962 after military service and earning his degree at Penn State.  His father had graduated from PSU in the 1920's, so we are certainly not new to the area! Dr. David Curtis Joined the practice in 1992, a little over 30 years ago; As Donald retired in 1999, Dr. Dave began treating all patients. Dr. David Curtis attended Penn State, and Lock Haven University, graduating in 1988; He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and graduated in 1992 before returning to his home town of State College.

The two doctors, father and son, worked together from 1992-1999, when Dr. Donald Curtis retired.  At that point, Dr. Dave became the new owner, and has been treating all patients since that time.

Dr. Dave enjoys living in Centre County; He and his wife Lisa have made their home here, and have four grown daughters.   Lisa works as an office manager at Penn State, in the Counseling Services office (CAPS), and they now live with two wonderful pets, Max the dog, and Abbie the cat.

They both enjoy hiking, biking, and travel.  Dr. Dave has been a pilot since 2001, and enjoys both aviation and local history. He has visited all 50 states when younger, but now enjoys staying here in the community.  He has enjoyed volunteer work over the years, with Boy Scouts, American Field service, and Remote Area Medical service, which offers donated dental services to Pennsylvanians. He is also excited about another volunteer endeavor coming  before the end of the year!

Dr. Curtis loves to learn. He has been a past president of the Centre County Dental Society, has attended a large number of continuing education courses locally, as well as across the country and even in a few other countries. Variety broadens prospective.

Most important, Dr. Curtis wants to hear about YOU!  Come and tell us your story!

We hope to hear from you soon. The best way to contact us is by telephone. Our main office number is (814) 237-2763. It is always fine to leave us a message if needed, and this is the fastest way to reach us. For a fast response, please call our office, do not message through the website.

We do respectfully ask that you call our office first, rather than walk in. To conform to regulations for social distancing, we can not allow walk in business at this time, whether to schedule an appointment, ask a question, or pay a bill. Please just give us a call instead!

We would like to welcome you to our office. We take great satisfaction in helping you maintain optimal oral health. Our practice is devoted to comprehensive and preventive patient care.

Throughout our website, you will find an abundance of information about our practice, procedures we provide, and dentistry in general. Please explore and learn as much about dentistry and our services as you desire. We believe our patients should have as much information as possible in order to make important, informed decisions regarding their oral health and treatment options.

We are excited to offer the following brand name services: ClearCorrect aligners, Six Month Smiles Clear braces, Perioprotect periodontal trays, OralDNA Salivary Testing, and HPV Testing. Each of these brands requires advanced education on the use of each system. Our doctor has completed extensive training to provide you with the best systems available. We are proud to be registered users of each of these systems. We are also participating providers with many dental insurance carriers, including Blue Cross, most United Concordia Plans, and Aetna Dental.

We participate with United Concordia in network PPO plan, but do not participate with Delta Dental nor Medicare/Medicaid.

We are primarily a restorative dental office; We no longer employ a dental hygienist, so "cleaning" visits are much more difficult to come by.  We can always complete an exam however, and discuss any treatment you may need.

NEWS: Ask about our new in house dental program! While this is not insurance, this plan will help patients with NO dental insurance to recieve 100% of our services, with no waiting and no restrictions. We now live in a world with so many added limitations, we are so happy to offer this service to our current, non insured patients. Membership is easy, and can be started in the office or over the telephone. Benefits begin instantly. Just give us a call to find out more.

Our patients are our most important asset, and we strive to develop long-lasting, trusting relationships with all of our patients. Your referrals are welcome and appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you!
